More About the Studio

Drive through our grand, 200-year-old oak trees to the free-standing studio. Award winning producer/engineer, Michael Mikulka, built the facility from the ground up, relying on renowned studio designer Emmitt Siniard, to incorporate the latest in studio design and sound isolation technology. The floors are “floated” and the ceiling and walls are isolated to provide the best in sound separation, as well as monitoring accuracy.

Upon entering the studio, you will notice a unique feature not found in most commercial facilities….windows to the beautiful landscape of the ranch. This was designed to give the artist a sense of space and openness. Check out the view in the images below (click either image for a larger version).

In order to accommodate our out of town clients, a beautiful, fully-furnished apartment is part of the facility. This allows the artists to really “get away” and focus on their recording. Our lounge area and Texas style porch, with a wonderful view of the horses, trees and ponds will allow you the opportunity to step away from the recording for “ear breaks” and to gain critical perspective on the project.
